Delicious chendol made with fresh coconut milk and a variety of toppings to choose from. My personal favorite is the cornflake chendol- tried it for the first time and instantly loved it! I'll definitely go back for more if I return to Johor Bahru.

A Refreshing Escape: Kutty N Cendol in Impian Emas. If you're ever in Taman Impian Emas, Johor Bahru, and find yourself craving a truly authentic and refreshing bowl of cendol, Kutty N Cendol is an absolute must-visit. Tucked away near the temple, this popular spot has earned its reputation for a reason. My visit on a sweltering Malaysian afternoon was perfectly timed for a cooling treat. The moment my bowl of Cendol Original arrived, I was struck by its inviting presentation. A generous mound of finely shaved ice dominated the bowl, glistening invitingly, with vibrant green cendol strands peeking through, surrounded by a pool of creamy white coconut milk and a rich, dark swirl of Gula Melaka. The shaved ice at Kutty N Cendol is a dream – incredibly fine and fluffy, it melted almost instantly, providing that perfect cooling sensation without being too coarse. This allows the other flavors to truly shine. The Gula Melaka here is exceptional; it boasts a deep, smoky caramel richness that is sweet without being overpowering, indicating a high-quality palm sugar. Its consistency was just right, coating every element beautifully. The coconut milk was clearly fresh and lusciously creamy, imparting a wonderful fragrance and richness that is absolutely essential for a good cendol. The cendol strands themselves were soft, pliable, and had a delightful chew, each one carrying that distinct, earthy pandan flavour. They were plentiful, ensuring every spoonful was packed with the green goodness. While I opted for the original, I noticed they have a wide variety of options, including those with red beans, sweet corn, jelly, and even more decadent versions like Cendol Durian and Cendol Ice Cream Special, which looked incredibly tempting for a future visit! What truly sets Kutty N Cendol apart is the harmonious balance of all its components. Nothing overwhelms the other; instead, they all work together to create a symphony of sweet, creamy, and refreshing notes. It's the kind of cendol that instantly brings a smile to your face and provides much-needed respite from the heat. Considering the generous portion size and the undeniable quality of the ingredients, the price is very reasonable. It's clear why this stall is a local favourite and often bustling with customers. For anyone in the Impian Emas area, especially after a visit to the nearby temple, make sure to stop by Kutty N Cendol. It's a genuine taste of Malaysian dessert perfection that you won't want to miss.

I visited Cendol N Kuttiy at Impian Emas and was really impressed! Both the cendol and ais kacang were absolutely delicious. The cendol had a rich coconut milk flavour with just the right amount of gula Melaka, making it creamy and satisfying. The ais kacang was colourful, refreshing, and packed with tasty ingredients like red beans, jelly, and sweet corn. A perfect treat on a hot day! Definitely a must-try if you’re in the area. Highly recommended!
